It's construction in the years 1310-1320 was probably simultaneous with the development of the new cemetery, the old cemetery next to the parish church being too cramped. The Trinity is a good example of a southern French Gothic church: a wooden roofed nave on transverse ribs and a narrower vaulted polygonal apse on intersecting ribs, a limited number and size of openings and simplicity in decoration. The capitals reveal two successive styles of sculpted flora used rom the second half of the 13th century in Lower Languedoc. |
